100% handmade bag, hand-woven made with Taruya, also known as water hyacinth, bora flower, camalote, aguapey or tarope, this plant, invasive of the Cienaga de Zapatosa, located in the department of César, has become raw material for artisans in the town of Antequera, in the municipality of Tamalameque, Cesar. Those who, in addition to carrying out their trade (bags and purses) based on the exploration of new materials, contribute to the conservation of the environment, since by starting the taruya that multiplies like “rice” in the Zapatosa Swamp, they restore navigability and facilitate fishing in this important wetland.
